Job Description:
Aims Community College seeks a talented individual to join our team as a Website Systems Administrator. If you are a technologist, enjoy becoming an expert in new & existing software, are a great problem solver and have superb interpersonal support skills, this position is for you.
The Website System Admin will lead in managing and supporting the College’s core software platforms. A successful candidate will recognize that software platforms need constant management due to vendor updates, new technologies, changing business needs and updated best practices.
This position requires a commitment to continued learning, research, testing and working with end users to ensure everything works correctly. This role supports the planning, design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all College web-related software platforms (See the entire tech stack below).
The Website System Admin will communicate and work closely with almost every area of the College, from faculty members to events to student representatives, all while maintaining a high level of service to ensure core business functions that happen with the College’s web-oriented tools are optimized and functioning well.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need technical chops and have a working understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, APIs, Technology Plug-Ins and other programming strategies. We are looking for someone to maintain, streamline and optimize our current systems and recommend and help build new infrastructure and services that will keep our company at the forefront of technology.
You will be part of the Marketing and Communications Department in this role. You’ll be embedded with the Website Team within Marcom and report to the Website Manager. The Website Team is a core part of the College and supports many initiatives.
