Position Description:
The Luskin Conference Center Sales and Conferences Services (LCC) is designed as a 300,000 square foot, 7-story, International Association of Conference Centers (IACC) certified four-diamond property on the UCLA campus. The LCC is comprised of 254 guest rooms, approximately 25,000 square feet of meeting space, a 160-seat restaurant, a fitness center, and a business center. LCC generates approximately $30M+ million annually in revenue.
Reporting to the General Manager of the UCLA Luskin Conference Center (LCC), the Assistant Hotel Manager of Guest Services will work collaboratively with various operational units to ensure that the needs of guests are met. This individual will report to the Hotel Manager and will provide support in the areas of guest services, including check-in/check-out, concierge services, and guest relations. The Assistant Hotel Manager will support the operations to ensure quality standards are met. The Assistant Hotel Manager must possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrate outstanding leadership that will instill and reinforce the development of a service culture, while ensuring that all guest service issues are handled expeditiously and with careful attention.
Provide excellent guest service, supporting the operational units to ensure seamless guest experiences. Assist with daily hotel operations as needed, with direction from operational unit leaders. Address guest complaints in a timely and professional manner, escalating to operational unit leaders as necessary. Support the recruitment, hiring, training, and development of front desk staff, in conjunction with operational unit leaders. Work collaboratively with operational units to ensure adequate coverage for front desk services. Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory of guest supplies, equipment, and amenities, in conjunction with operational unit leaders. Participate in regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met. Develop and maintain positive relationships with hotel guests, staff, and vendors, supporting operational unit leaders as needed
Special Instructions:
Must be available to work varying schedules; including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays in order to reflect the business needs of the department.
