Job Description Summary
The candidate will support the Manager of Research Projects with general lab maintenance, and the generation, maintenance and analysis of dual targeting “and” gated CAR-T in vitro in tissue culture, as well as in vivo using NSG-mice and tumor xenografts.
Job Description
The position will involve performing tumor xenograft studies in NSG mice, including growing, characerization and banking of tumor cell lines plus lentivirally transuced primary human T cells (CAR-T cells), flank tumor implantation, tumor measurements, intravenous and intraperitoneal CAR-T cell infusions, retro-orbital bleeds, Trucounts and FACS staining of CAR-T from engrafted mice, as well as isolation of CAR-T from mouse blood and tumor xenografts, and monitoring GVHD. Priority will be given to candidates with experience in CAR-T and NSG mouse xenograft studies. Experience with mouse xenograft studies or NSG mice is not required, but at a minimum the candidate must show a willingness and commitment to work with NSG mice and learn the techniques associated with using this essential model system.
The Research Specialist B position will also independently perform imaging of mice, as well as their tumors, by luminescence and immunohistochemistry.

Qualifications
Research Specialist A
Bachelor’s Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in cellular/molecular biology and biochemistry, including cell culture, gene transfer techniques, Western blotting, gene expression and FACS analysis required.
Research Specialist B
Bachelor’s Degree with 1-3 years of related experience in research or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience in cellular/molecular biology and biochemistry, including cell culture, gene transfer techniques, Western blotting, gene expression and FACS analysis required.
