Salary: $5,067 – $11,183 Monthly
Position Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Finance Director, the Senior Fund Manager directs a team of junior fund managers, limited appointees, and student employees.
Provide exceptional customer service, advice, consultation and oversight to assigned units regarding procurement, accounts payable, travel activity, overall funds management, and transactional inquiries. Advise on guidelines and fund restrictions. Monitor funds and prepare transfer of funds, monetary transfer of funds and expense adjustments (NPEAR) as necessary. Exercising independent initiative, incumbent is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving difficult business issues. Provide expert assistance to Anderson business units regarding all aspects purchasing, travel and entertainment reimbursements.
Manage, and transact activities in all of the School’s funds including and not limited to, Contracts and Grants, Sales and Service, Business Contracts, Fee Funds, State Funds, Gift funds.
Mentor and train junior fund managers, and collaboratively develop and implement best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvement and lead efforts to implement improvements and changes.
Use advanced technical skills to communicate metrics on units and their activities, effecting positive changes, streamlining processes, and mitigate issues before they arise. Develop a collaborative atmosphere for all of the School’s units to effectively engage with the Business Office team.
Develop, prepare, and analyze advanced level financial reports for assigned areas. Ensure that units activities are properly booked and that funds are appropriately used for all of the School’s funds and fund types. Consult with management on trends and make recommendations for budgetary and strategic planning purposes.
Complete special projects as assigned.
