Impact & Responsibilities: Recruits new students to the Regents Alternative Pathway to Iowa Licensure (RAPIL) program; advises prospective students regarding the licensure program; gathers and records all application materials for the selection process and communicates with applicants; builds strong professional relationships with program faculty, staff, and constituents to encourage collaborative work to assist students; provides ongoing mentoring and guidance for enrolled candidates; assists with recruitment events; maintains program records for all candidates and works with the University of Iowa to maintain the RAPIL electronic application and monitoring process for applicants and candidates; prepares data-based reports; maintains and organizes program-wide record keeping systems; and administers the STEM Advisory Council scholarship program.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in education, student affairs, or related field; experience with computer data systems; and excellent written and oral communication skills.
Occasional night and weekend hours may be necessary. Occasional travel may be necessary.
Preferred: Master’s degree in education, higher education administration, student affairs or related field; recent PK-12 classroom teaching experience; advising experience; recruitment experience; and experience with non-traditional learners.
