Description
The Senior Product Owner is responsible for conveying product vision and roadmap to an Agile delivery team by defining user stories and prioritizing product backlog. The Senior Product Owner work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Humana is rethinking HR. How might we use product, Agile, and design practices to design HR services that are more delightful for our fellow teammates, efficient, and cost effective? We are building an maturing a new product team in HR. The HR Associate Experience Product Team (AX Products) is looking for a Senior Product Owner to support our most important products.
Key responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this role is to do whatever necessary to deliver value to our business and our customers. That may mean leading an Agile team as product owner for an independent initiative, supporting a product manager as a product owner on a shared initiative, or acting as a “super delivery team member” to ensure value is delivered on an Agile team
Manage a backlog of epics, features, and stories
Lead and participate in Scrum agile events (or ceremonies) as needed
Apply a generalist skillset to solve HR problems, define and complete stories, and more
Collaborate closely with business partners to determine problem statements
Execute design and research strategies defined by our design team
Respond to quarterly-updating priorities to focus on where you might best deliver value
Required skills and experience
1-3 years’ experience as product owner, Scrum master, or similar Agile role
Strong proficiency with digital collaboration tools such as Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint
Co-creation mindset, excellent collaboration skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills (particularly for crisp, inspiring, and effective presentations to leadership and stakeholders)
Patience, comfort with ambiguity and change
A unique specialty skill that is applicable to delivering HR services such as copywriting, technical writing, graphic design, front-end web development, or other.
Desired skills (nice to have)
Bachelor’s degree
Product Owner or other Scrum certification
Experience with the “double diamond” design methodology, Service Design, Human-centered Design or other design disciplines
Experience with Humana’s specific platforms: Microsoft ADO, ServiceNow, Workday, M365
