Description
The DOS Administrative Coordinator is an integral member of the Dean of Students
Team and often the first point of contact for students, faculty and staff. Reporting to and working closely with the Dean of Students,
Director of the ARC, Director of Student Life and Student DEI, and the Director of Student Accessibility Services, the DOS Administrative
Coordinator is responsible for the planning, marketing, and implementation of programs and events to advance the mission and goals of the
DOS Office. This position uses a data-driven approach to improve service and requires good judgment, initiative, problem-solving and
confidentiality. A detail-oriented individual with project management and organizational skills, a positive attitude and the ability to
multi-task effectively in this fast-paced environment will thrive in this position.
Programming &
Communications
Implements operations for programs and events ranging from department activities, orientation,
commencement, workshops and social events. Facilitates on-campus programs and events for the DOS Office. Consults with campus departments
and programs as directed. Creates, monitors and tracks registration, attendance, and assessment for all programs. Drafts correspondence,
agendas, programs, marketing materials, and meeting notes, as needed. Works closely with facilities and the office manager regarding meeting
setups and the ordering of supplies and food. Assists with the creation and development of the DOS annual report and manages office
communications and databases, including the DOS website, ARC, Student Accessibility Services, student life and DEI program tracking, and
career webpages/Career Link. Assesses department needs, triages requests, forwards questions, and ensures communication with and among the
DOS Team members. Performs other duties as needed.
Administrative & Financial
Maintains office
organization, monitors and handles purchasing of supplies. Maintains and updates calendars for the DOS Office and sets up meetings such as
those with ACES, LEADS and student organizations. Schedules meetings as requested with students, faculty and administrators. Tracks and
reports on expenditures. Maintains and monitors DOS and career websites/CareerLink, Student Accessibility Services, and ARC usage. Resolves
problems with minimal supervision. Hires, trains and supervises student workers.
