Sheakley is looking for a diverse IT individual to join its development team. The ideal candidate will possess deep skills in numerous skill sets of IT development, namely in managing small projects with 2-6 team members, application support and application development. You will use these various skills to help design, manage, implement and support business related IT processes. You will be a team leader for a small team of developers, you will regularly interact with the business. You will push forward technology initiatives and ensure that proper coding standards, documentation and testing are completed and accurate. You will help lead the modernization effort of the existing applications once you have gained sufficient knowledge and understanding of existing processes.
This position requires an individual who has project management skills, but also can be hands-on and operational. The successfully candidate will have had a career that encompasses a variety of skill sets that will set them up for a successful career at Sheakley. This would include having (1) managed technical projects with as many as 4-5 developers and 3-4 business folks. This position is not a pure project management role, you must have solid technical skills to go along with project management skills. The ideal candidate would also have current knowledge and skills related to working with a (2) SQL Server database and writing applications in (3) C# that access and work with this data. Your typical day would likely include some amount of each of these capabilities.
Once you have developed a good knowledgebase and understanding of the current business processes and applications, you will then be charged with leading the migration to an all Web 2.0 based application architecture utilizing Angular, C# and SQL based upon existing Sheakley Web 2.0 technologies.
