Job Summary
The Finance Associate position reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and works closely with all members of the JA USA finance team. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, Junior Achievement (JA) Area office support, financial procedures related to JA Area audited financial statements and 990s, JA USA finance and accounting duties, and various administrative tasks. This position cultivates strong internal and external relationships to deliver on operational objectives and strategies to support the finance team and organization.
Essential Functions
Supports 102 JA Area offices by assisting JA Area presidents and finance staff with various questions and financial issues.
Annual due diligence and calculation of program and support fees assessed to the JA Areas. Includes gathering and tracking information from all JA Areas audited financial statements and Form 990s.
Daily and monthly tasks related to accounts receivable, mail, deposits, and JA Area billing.
Other tasks to support the Finance team and JA operations.
Administrative duties including, but not limited to, internal and external correspondence and scheduling of Audit and Finance Committee meetings.
Assistance with State and Federal required reporting to include, but not limited to, annual periodic reporting and IRS group exemption filing.

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 annually, with the exact salary depending on prior work experience and the assessment of one’s fit for the role.
