Accounts Receivable Specialist

Manpower is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to work with biotechnology company located in Durham, NC. If you are excited about doing work that will have real-world impact, while also being supported in achieving your career goals, this is the job for you!

Without compromising quality, you will help customers mitigate risk, increase productivity, and reduce costs. This role is responsible for the Accounts Receivable and general accounting functions as directed by the Accounting management team. This role will work directly with customers, bank employees and company employees.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable processing, including cash posting, collection attempts, documentation, escalation, and analysis.
• Monthly reconciliation of key accounts in the general ledger.
• Month-end close process support, including journal entry posting/logging, system validations, and key file maintenance.
• Maintain standard operating procedures manual for all tasks.
• Other accounting-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple and diverse projects with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated success and ability to effectively interact with other disciplines within the Company such as sales, customer service, and distribution.
• Ability to appropriately represent Company to internal and external clients.
• Maintenance of regular attendance and punctuality is a condition of employment and an essential function for any position within the Company.
• Ability to accurately understand and follow established Company policies, procedures and objectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
• Preference for a 2- or 4-year degree in accounting or related field
• 2 years of experience and working knowledge of commonly used Accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
• Proficient computer skills and technical knowledge in using accounting systems, Microsoft Office, email, web searches and data base entry
• Knowledge of InforA+ ERP preferred.
