Qualifications
Responsbilities/Duties – Implement educational activities by providing and maintaining an atmosphere in the classroom that promotes school readiness and developmentally appropriate practices for 3 and 4-year old children. Assist the Head Start Teacher in planning and carrying out educational activities to meet the National Head Start Program Performance Standards and local plan.

Terms of Employment – Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) and to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 will be required unless exempted by federal, state or local laws
Locations; Hours & Salary
FULL TIME, 37.5 hrs/wk: HIP CENTER – Head Start Classroom at the Hazleton Integration Project, 225 E. 4th Street, Hazleton
PART TIME, 30 hrs/wk – EDWARDSVILLE CENTER – 111 Meyers Street, Edwardsville
Rate of Pay: Based on Education/Eligible for overtime pay:
AA Degree – $17.00/hr
CDA – $15.50/hr
HS Diploma/GED – $15.00/hr
Bilingual Adjustment in pay of additional 5% for English/Spanish language abilities
Fringe Benefits Package – For staff working 30hrs/wk or more
